BIC, originally an abbreviation for British Industries Corporation, was established in 1950 as an America corporation that imported high-end British audio products. BIC was one of the earliest pioneers in the audio industry, distributing top-of-the-line brands including Garrard turntables, Luxman amplifiers and Wharfedale loudspeakers.
In 1973, BIC introduced the industry’s first belt drive turntables and it’s own brand of America made loudspeakers, becoming well known for patenting famous “Venturi Port”. By the mid 1970’s, BIC America loudspeakers were one of the top-selling audio brands in the industry.

The European founders of the TAGA Harmony brand Mr. Kokocinski from Poland and Mr. Richard from Germany started their involvement in the audio business in early years of 1990.
They were recognized music lovers and specialists in the high-end audio and were dealing with repair and sale of high audio equipment.
They found out that most speaker brands that boasted top sound performance, offered their products at extremely high prices, but they did not really provide good sound quality.
This prompted them to establish their own TAGA Harmony brand.
